Boil Order Lifted

Posted 06/23/26

Boil Order Lifted

Please be advised that the 48 hour boil order for Fourth Street to Seventh Street from Filbert Avenue to eastern Fourth Street has been Lifted.

Water service was shut off to residents of Fourth Street to Seventh Street and from Filbert Avenue to eastern Fourth Street, including Maxwell Acres, Hillview Terrace, Cristy Lynn Drive, and AAA Trailer Park on Sunday, June 21st, 2026 to repair a break in the 8 inch main waterline. The Moundsville Water Maintenance/Distribution Crew repaired the break and restored water service to the customers as quickly as possible.

For our customers’ protection, a 48 hour boil order was put in place following the restoration of water service until water quality sample results were received from the lab in Wheeling. All residents who experienced low or no water pressure were impacted by this boil order.

We received word that the sample has cleared.

The Boil Order is lifted as of June 23, 2026.

We do this to ensure that our customers are receiving the safest and best quality of water available.

Thank you for your patience!

The Moundsville Water Board
