Recycling Coordinator

The City of Moundsville is in search of a reliable person to fill the new position of Recycling Coordinator.  This position is part-time, and will consist of approximately 15-20 hours per week, with Saturday hours required.  The Recycling Coordinator will assist in the development, set-up, and operation of the recycling program and will report to the Superintendent of Public Works.  Job responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

•Provide initial set-up support such as: physical set-up, contracts, determine appropriate roll-off sizes, determine collection and hauling schedule, identify waste problem areas, and complete mandated REAP Grant Program training.

• Responsible for all resident communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on drop-offs.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records and prepare monthly reports.

• Assist in the approval of service changes and invoices.

• Evaluate effectiveness of practices and programs, identify opportunities and strategies to increase collection, and help set goals for future collection practices.

• Interact directly and maintain effective working relationships with residents, business owners, recycling companies, haulers, employees, community groups, and the general public.

• Participate in public education and outreach activities including presentations, trainings, and conferences.

• Educate residents on the latest recycling regulations.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States, between the ages of 18 and 40, good moral character and physically and mentally fit. 

Starting salary, $41,308.80 with increase upon successfully completing one-year probationary period.

Moundsville Parks & Recreation Department


The Moundsville Four Seasons Pool is presently accepting applications for the position of lifeguard. Must be certified by the Red Cross Life Guarding for Professional Rescuers and have a current CPR/AED First Aid card. High school and college students are encouraged to apply.

Desk Attendant
